Home – Root Canal Treatment
The aim of root canal treatment is to save a tooth that has been badly damaged due to decay, disease or injury. Using special instruments called files, we remove inflamed or infected nerve tissue.
Anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial medicines are then put inside the tooth to help stop inflammation and infection.
At Parkview Dental Practice, our Dentists have undergone special training in the latest Endodontic techniques. We mostly use rotary nickel-titanium files, which contributes to more efficient, predictable and pain free root canal treatment.
Usually a tooth that has had Root Canal Treatment will require a Crown to protect, strengthen and seal the tooth. This is best done soon after the Root Canal Treatment is completed.
Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
